Critical Incident Exercise to Be Hosted at Tennova Healthcare – Clarksville
2/25/2020
On Saturday, February 29 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tennova Healthcare – Clarksville will be hosting a Critical Incident Exercise with area police, fire and EMS. Periodically throughout the year, our hospital participates in public safety drills using various scenarios. During this particular drill, there will be a higher than normal volume of first responder vehicles and personnel on our campus located at 651 Dunlop Lane in Clarksville. The drill will be a real world response in an exercise environment.
There will be temporary signage to communicate to our employees and visitors that we are hosting a drill with area law enforcement and others. We recognize that our visitors and patients may see police and rescue personnel arrive on our campus as they participate in this drill. In anticipation of this and to address and dispel any fears, patients and visitors will be notified on the morning of the drill explaining that a drill event will be taking place on our campus, but the exercise will not interrupt their care or the ability for visitors to come and go on the campus.
Several agencies plan to set up their Emergency Command Centers in the back employee parking lot. That area will be blocked off and individuals not directly involved in the exercise will not be permitted entrance into the area. This will not interrupt traffic flow in the visitor or emergency room parking lots, nor foot traffic at patient entrances.
